Project Manager

(North America)

STS Capital Partners is currently seeking a Project Manager (North America) to work with the Managing Director to plan and implement all aspects of international acquisition or divestiture projects.

The Project Manager (PM) will work with the Managing Director to plan and implement all aspects of international acquisition or divestiture projects. The PM often deals with matters of a sensitive and confidential nature such as financials, business strategy documents and agreements. The PM must maintain strict confidentiality both internally and externally to the company. The PM will have reporting relationships to The Director, Client Projects & Resources provides co-ordination and support to the Project Managers. The PM is accountable to; and, receives project direction and supervision from the Managing Director.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Responsible for accurate, timely project documentation
  • Manage the project timeline
  • Manage client inputs to the process
  • Prepare Project Work Plans for the client
  • Plan and lead the project meetings
  • Develop a rapport and professional relationship with clients
  • Prepare materials such as Teasers, Confidential Information Memorandums for clients
  • Financial acumen, understanding financial statements
  • List development, contribution, screening, prioritization and approval
  • Approach the market on behalf of our clients, dealing with senior level strategic investors
  • Teaser distribution and follow up
  • Execute, collect, track Non Disclosure Agreements
  • Confidential Information Memorandum distribution
  • Maintain and update tracking documents for the database
  • Complete contact reports from client meetings and investor discussions
  • Provide Project Status updates to our clients
  • Support the negotiation strategy
  • Manage Virtual Data Room as applicable; facilitate due diligence questions and answers between multiple stakeholders
  • Provide regular written updates and verbal communication on the status of the project to the Client Operations Manager and Founding Managing Director of the firm
  • In conjunction with the Managing Director, plan and manage activities associated with Management Presentations between our clients and strategic investors
  • Support successful negotiations between our clients and strategic investors
  • Support the process of agreeing on definitive closing documents
  • Manage internal and external post mandate closing activities
  • Support corporate knowledge repository
  • Represent STS in a professional manner at all times
  • Maintain strict confidentiality both internally and externally to the company at all times

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

Project Management:

  • 5 years of Project Management value-add with responsibility leading client projects Financial Acumen
  • Financial experience; interpreting financial statements; finding hidden value/risks within financial statements
  • CFA Essential

Leadership/Interpersonal Skills:

  • Self-motivated, energized, intelligent, positive
  • Proven leadership skills with a proactive solution focus, takes initiative and has an attention to detail
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills including communication (verbal/written), collaborative, positive, self-confident
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Computer/Technology Skills
  • Strong computer knowledge with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Maximizer Enterprise an asset
