Ray Gingras - Partner

Ray has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry structuring financing solutions. He began his career at Export Development Canada (EDC), as a Project Manager with the Industrial Equipment Group and then moved to EDC’s Legal Services Department as Legal Counsel. His final stop at EDC was with the Extractive Industries & Resources Team as a Financing Manager focusing on the oil & gas sector.

While at EDC, Ray gained experience with secured lending, mergers & acquisitions, project financing, structured financing and syndicated lending in various countries including Mexico, China, the United States, and Venezuela.

Since Ray joined STS Capital Partners, he has been involved in a number of transactions advising on mergers & acquisitions as well as corporate finance in industries ranging from consumer goods to oil & gas.

Ray is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association as well as several philanthropic organizations.

Ray holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Laurentian University, a Bachelor of Administration (Business) from the University of Ottawa and an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa. He is licensed to practise law in Ontario.
