Craig R. Savage - Partner


As a partner with STS Capital Partners, Craig has completed numerous transactions involving corporate finance and buy-side and sell-side mandates across North America; leveraging his experience with McKinsey & Company, he has advised clients on structuring and accelerating growth through mergers & acquisitions and advanced corporate finance in industries ranging from Manufacturing and Retail to Technology and Management Consulting, Marketing Services, and Healthcare.

Prior to joining STS, Craig was the founder and Managing Director of Videre, Inc. where the company focus was on improving short and long-term performance by helping clients turn around a decline in performance, re-orient their product/market strategies, improve operational efficiency and lower overhead, and increase productivity.

For a period of 5+ years, Craig was with McKinsey & Company principally in the Financial and Commercial Insurance, Healthcare, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (PSM) and Information Technology (IT) practices; he has extensive functional experience in strategy development, post merger management, operational effectiveness, strategic sourcing and procurement, and information technology. Craig was also an integral part of McKinsey’s Business Technology Office (BTO) and Business Building practices where he assisted leading institutions with top-line growth through innovation, new business creation, and IT transformation.

Prior to McKinsey & Company, Craig was a serial entrepreneur launching 3 companies over the course of 5 years including a leading automotive website (cars.com), an Internet-based healthcare company, and an interactive design and development firm that successfully went public in 1996. He started his career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Dallas, TX serving 7 years in EDS’ Financial Services and Commercial Insurance, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Consumer Package Goods practices as a strategy consultant, director of marketing, and software engineer; a significant portion of Craig’s time with EDS was also spent in Corporate Marketing as a business development manager for Latin America.

Craig earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, a MS in Marketing from the Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) and postgraduate work (M.B.A.) at Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management (Phoenix, AZ).
