Christopher Bunting- Partner



Chris Bunting has enjoyed a 25-year career in leadership positions in the communications and public relations industry. He was Chairman and CEO of Weber Shandwick Canada Inc. from 1989 to 2001; during that time the firm grew organically and through acquisition from two to seven offices across Canada, becoming one of the country's leading communication consultancies.

Prior to joining STS Capital Partners in London, England in 2007, Chris spent five years as Senior Managing Director of the UK operations of Global Consulting Group, a New York-based international public relations firm.

He consulted to organizations ranging from McDonald's Restaurants for the opening of their first restaurant in the former Soviet Union, to advising two of Canada's largest banks during merger discussions, to advising a Geneva-based peace mediation foundation.

He also has experience as a board chairman and director in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Chris served on the board of Chicago-based Golin/Harris Communications for eight years, and was a member of the board and executive committee of Iter Inc.

In the not-for-profit sector, he was the first Canadian Chairman of the International Association of Business Communicators, based in San Francisco and representing 15,000 business communication professionals from around the world. He currently sits on the executive board of the London-based Trinity Foundation and is a trustee of Street Kids International (UK). He has been a speaker at many international forums, including IABC’s international conferences and the Harvard Business Review’s Executive Round Tables.

Receiving his primary education in England and Canada, Chris earned degrees from Carleton University and the University of Ottawa in Canada.
